How does a mini-split work?

A ductless mini-split consists of two parts: there’s an air handler situated inside your living space and a compressor, which sits outside. These two components connect via a thin pipe through your walls, and you can connect multiple air handlers to a single compressor!

The system uses heat exchanger coils to move warm air from one location to another. In summer, it draws warm air from inside our home out while simultaneously cooling air and forcing it back into your living space. During winter, the process is reversed. The compressor draws warm air from outside to heat your home.
